QA Engineer – Core Database

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Develop and improve test automation frameworks while creating automated test cases.

• Experiment with new features to ensure their successful integration into production.

• Conduct testing of cross-functional implementations among internal ClickHouse teams.

• Establish new testing strategies and automation for large, intricate distributed systems.

• Assess new ClickHouse functionalities with each release.

• Spot opportunities for enhancements within the current codebase.

• Design and refine existing testing infrastructure.

• Collaborate across engineering and product teams.

• Assist in ensuring that ClickHouse Cloud operates effectively on a global scale and handles massive workloads.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of SQL.

• Prior experience in an SDET, Release Engineering, or QA role related to classical databases or distributed systems.

• Practical experience with programming languages such as Python, Go, or C++.

• Capability to read and validate C++ code.

• Familiarity with Git, Linux, and shell scripting.

• Experience in both manual and automated testing.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.

• Quick learner of complex technologies in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

• Strong communication skills.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and expertise in production debugging.

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in debugging SQL databases.
