QA Engineer – Core Database

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance frameworks for test automation.

• Create automated test cases.

• Test new features and ensure their smooth integration into production.

• Conduct testing for cross-functional implementations within internal ClickHouse teams.

• Implement testing strategies and automation for large, complex distributed systems.

• Assess new ClickHouse functionalities with each release.

• Discover opportunities for enhancements in the existing codebase.

• Design and upgrade the current testing infrastructure.

• Enhance the efficiency and quality of ClickHouse's open-source and cloud solutions.

• Develop automation for essential operational functions to ensure ClickHouse Cloud operates effectively on a global scale and at significant volume.

⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of SQL.

• Prior experience in a similar role as SDET, Release Engineering, or QA related to classical databases or distributed systems.

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in debugging SQL databases.

• Practical experience with programming languages such as Python, Go, or C++.

• Proficiency in reading C++ code for validation purposes.

• Familiarity with Git, Linux, and shell scripting.

• Experience in both manual and automation testing.

• Strong production debugging capabilities.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.

• Capacity to rapidly learn intricate technologies in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

• Exceptional communication skills.
