QA Engineer – Core Database

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance test automation frameworks while developing automated test cases.

• Experiment with new features to ensure a seamless deployment in production.

• Conduct testing of cross-functional implementations among internal ClickHouse teams.

• Develop and apply new testing strategies and automation for large, complex distributed systems.

• Assess new ClickHouse features with each release.

• Identify areas for improvement within the current codebase.

• Engineer and enhance the existing testing infrastructure.

• Collaborate across engineering and product teams.

• Contribute to the smooth operation of ClickHouse Cloud on a global scale and at significant capacity.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of SQL.

• Prior experience in a similar SDET, Release Engineering, or QA position related to classical databases or distributed systems.

• Practical experience with Python, Go, or C++.

• Capability to read C++ code for validation purposes.

• Proficient understanding of Git, Linux, and shell scripting.

• Experience in both manual and automated testing.

• Ability to work effectively with remote teams.

• Quick learner of complex technologies in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Strong communication abilities.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and experience in production debugging.

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience debugging SQL databases.
