QA Engineer – Core Database

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance frameworks for test automation.

• Create automated test cases.

• Experiment with new features to ensure seamless integration into production.

• Conduct testing for cross-functional implementations among internal ClickHouse teams.

• Formulate testing strategies and automation processes for large-scale, complex distributed systems.

• Assess new functionalities of ClickHouse with each release.

• Spot opportunities for enhancements within the current codebase.

• Develop and refine existing testing infrastructure.

• Elevate the efficiency and quality of ClickHouse's open-source and cloud services.

• Create automation for essential operational functions to guarantee smooth global operations of ClickHouse Cloud at a large scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound understanding of SQL.

• Prior experience in a comparable SDET, Release Engineering, or QA role related to classical databases or distributed systems.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in debugging SQL databases.

• Practical experience with programming languages such as Python, Go, or C++.

• Capability to read C++ code for validation purposes.

• Familiarity with Git, Linux, and shell scripting.

• Experience in both manual and automated testing.

• Strong production debugging skills.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.

• Quick learner of complex technologies in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Outstanding communication skills.
