QA Engineer – Core Database

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Design and improve test automation frameworks while creating automated test cases.

• Experiment with new features to ensure their seamless deployment in production.

• Conduct testing for cross-functional implementations among internal ClickHouse teams.

• Develop and apply testing strategies and automation for large-scale, complex distributed systems.

• Assess new ClickHouse functionalities with each release.

• Spot opportunities for enhancement within the existing codebase.

• Build and refine current testing infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth understanding of SQL.

• Prior experience in a similar role such as SDET, Release Engineering, or QA associated with a classical database or distributed system.

• Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in debugging SQL databases.

• Practical coding experience with Python.

• Capability to read C++ code for validation purposes.

• Familiarity with Git, Linux, and shell scripting.

• Experience in both manual and automation testing.

• Strong skills in production debugging.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Quick learner of complex technologies in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
