QA Engineer – Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop a comprehensive automated end-to-end testing suite for essential processes, including lead capture through enrolment, quick-apply, offer/CAS/visa stages, commission calculations, and agent onboarding.

• Implement automated permission validations for staff, agent, and administrative roles.

• Collaborate with the DevOps engineer to integrate the testing suite into the CI/CD pipeline.

• Design regression coverage for configuration updates involving checklists, pipelines, and rate cards.

• Conduct exploratory and edge-case testing for exceptional scenarios such as drop-outs with CAS, refunds, and invalid-contact sequences.

• Work alongside engineers to triage bugs effectively.

• Create streamlined QA processes, including outlining test plans, establishing a bug severity classification, and defining release sign-off criteria.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in testing web applications.

• Proven experience in building at least one significant automated testing suite, rather than merely maintaining it, using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Familiarity with complex systems that involve intricate workflows, where state and permissions are critical.

• Excellent written communication abilities.

• Preferred: Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or REST clients.

• Preferred: Basic knowledge of performance or load testing.

• Preferred: Experience with data-sensitive platforms and awareness of GDPR regulations in the UK and Europe.

• Preferred: Background in edtech or marketplace environments.

• Must be able to work the full UK day, from 10:30 to 19:00 UK time.
