Senior QA Automation Engineer, JavaScript/TypeScript

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive QA assistance throughout the entire application lifecycle in a dynamic deployment setting.

• Conduct functional, UI, regression, and end-to-end testing for web applications and newly launched features.

• Validate transactional workflows and payment integrations, emphasizing e-commerce and payment-related processes.

• Test and verify POS integrations, data synchronization, and operational workflows.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams on data validation, backend verification, and ETL-related testing.

• Design, maintain, and enhance automated test suites utilizing Selenium along with JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Carry out API testing, database validation, and troubleshooting of data-centric workflows.

• Engage in release validation and pinpoint risks, blockers, and quality issues.

• Contribute to the enhancement of QA procedures, automation coverage, and deployment reliability.

• Function effectively in lean, collaborative settings with a focus on adaptability and ownership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Software QA and test automation.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Selenium and JavaScript or TypeScript for web automation testing.

• Experience in performing functional, regression, UI, and end-to-end testing across modern web applications.

• Practical background in testing e-commerce platforms, payment workflows, and third-party integrations.

• Familiarity with testing payment gateways or transactional workflows; experience with Stripe is a plus.

• Strong grasp of API testing, backend validation, and database verification workflows.

• Proven experience working closely with engineering and data teams in Agile or Kanban environments.

• Capacity to swiftly adapt to changing priorities and fast-paced operational demands.

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Advanced English communication skills, both in writing and verbally.

• Experience with testing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) implementations or similar enterprise CMS platforms (a plus).

• Background in validating ETL pipelines, backend data flows, or data integrity processes (a plus).

• Familiarity with Cypress or Playwright (a plus).

• Previous experience in startup environments or agile, high-growth teams (a plus).

• Experience collaborating with Data Engineering teams and assisting in data-centric validation efforts (a plus).

• Experience with POS systems or retail/hospitality transactional platforms (a plus).

• Involvement in QA process improvements and discussions on automation strategy (a plus).
