QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create, implement, and uphold test plans, test cases, and testing scenarios for various product functionalities.

• Design and sustain automated testing scripts for front-end applications and APIs/back-end services using leading frameworks like Cypress or Playwright.

• Perform detailed permutations, combinations, and exploratory testing to identify edge cases and enhance feature coverage.

• Oversee the CI/CD regression testing pipeline.

• Detect, document, prioritize, and monitor bugs until they are resolved for product launches.

• Collaborate across teams with Product Management and Engineering on acceptance criteria and design solutions.

• Engage actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of demonstrated experience in Software Quality Assurance.

• Practical experience in developing UI automation with Cypress and Playwright.

• Practical experience in creating API service test automation using Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, or Postman.

• Strong comprehension of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows and best practices.

• Extensive knowledge of QA principles and software testing best practices.

• Familiarity with standard test management tools like Zephyr or TestRail.

• Proven ability to work effectively within Scrum and Kanban methodologies.

• Proven experience in a Fintech, Wealth Management, or Financial Services organization.
