QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Collaborate within a cross-functional team consisting of product managers, analysts, and developers on a high-traffic telecom platform.

• Oversee testing activities, including planning, test scenario development, execution, follow-ups, and monitoring.

• Conduct API and integration testing across microservices.

• Execute performance and load testing.

• Automate testing processes and maintain existing test builds.

• Carry out regression testing.

• Generate testing reports and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience as a QA Engineer with a focus on backend testing.

• Extensive backend testing experience, including comprehensive data flow verification between services, databases, and message brokers.

• Familiarity with automation tools and proficiency in Java/TypeScript integrated into CI pipelines.

• Experience in performance testing, including creating load profiles, executing tests, and analyzing latency, throughput, and error rates.

• Skills in requirements analysis.

• Proficient in developing test strategies and test plans.

• Knowledge of various test design techniques.

• Understanding of different testing methodologies.

• Proficient in SQL, capable of crafting complex queries that involve joins, aggregations, and data integrity checks.

• Experience using Linux/UNIX command line, including log analysis and basic Bash scripting.

• Practical understanding of Git, including branching, merging, and conducting code reviews.

• Familiarity with MOCK-SERVER or similar dependency-isolation tools.

• Knowledge of TCP and HTTP protocols.

• Understanding of client-server and microservices architectures, inter-service communication, failure points, and idempotency.

• Familiarity with tools such as Postman, IntelliJ IDEA, the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Zephyr), GitLab, Jenkins, Kibana, and Grafana.

• A higher technical education or equivalent relevant experience.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment while closely collaborating with the development team.

• Strong analytical capabilities and a critical mindset.

• Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.

• Intermediate or higher proficiency in spoken and written English.

• Preferred: Experience in the telecom domain, including billing, charging, or provisioning.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Preferred: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Preferred: Background in high-load systems.
