This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +4 more states.
• Develop, implement, and uphold comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing scenarios.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, smoke, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.
• Create and sustain automated test scripts utilizing industry-standard automation frameworks.
• Detect, document, prioritize, and validate software defects through bug-tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers to replicate issues and confirm resolutions.
• Test REST APIs using tools like Postman or similar API testing platforms.
• Engage in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release readiness activities.
• Ensure product quality prior to production deployments.
• Continuously enhance QA processes, documentation, and testing standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software on time.
• 3–4 years of professional experience as a QA Engineer, Software Test Engineer, or Quality Assurance Engineer.
• Extensive experience with manual software testing for web applications.
• Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and the software testing lifecycle (STLC).
• Experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman or equivalent tools.
• Knowledge of Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
• Proficient in using bug tracking and project management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Basic SQL knowledge for database validation and testing purposes.
• Familiarity with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a remote team setting.
• Experience testing SaaS platforms or cloud-based applications.
• Knowledge of performance or load testing tools.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud environments.
• ISTQB Certification or equivalent QA certification.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows.
