QA Engineer – 12-Month Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Test new functionalities, enhancements, and bug fixes.

• Validate essential user flows and significant edge cases.

• Detect issues prior to their deployment in production.

• Clearly communicate quality risks.

• Review requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Identify gaps, edge cases, and potential risks.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to clarify expected behaviors.

• Prioritize testing based on the risk associated with the product.

• Combine structured testing with exploratory testing.

• Ensure critical regression scenarios are adequately covered.

• Maintain documentation that is straightforward and practical.

• Write clear and actionable bug reports.

• Investigate issues utilizing logs, APIs, and monitoring tools.

• Provide timely feedback throughout the development process.

• Contribute to enhancing future testing based on insights gained from production.

• Leverage AI to assist in test design, investigations, and documentation.

• Review and validate outputs generated by AI.

• Continuously refine testing workflows by incorporating new tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer testing web applications.

• Strong grasp of software testing principles and test design methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with exploratory, functional, regression, and API testing.

• Capable of reviewing requirements, identifying risks, and raising questions prior to the development phase.

• Experience in testing APIs using Postman or similar tools.

• Working knowledge of SQL or GraphQL for data validation and investigation.

• Experience in investigating issues using logs, monitoring, or analytics tools (such as Sentry, Rollbar, Amplitude, or similar).

• Familiarity with employing AI tools to enhance testing and investigation workflows while validating outcomes.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Experience collaborating within Agile, cross-functional product teams.

• Must reside within CET ±2 hours.

• Must be available every working day from 9 am to 12 pm EST.
