Middle QA Engineer – Mobile

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Take complete ownership of features: assess PRDs, develop test coverage strategies, and publish comprehensive feature documentation for the entire QA team.

• Conduct functional, smoke, sanity, and regression testing of mobile applications on actual devices.

• Manually test the backend through REST APIs across various services and confirm client-backend integrations.

• Verify business logic, pricing structures, feature flags, and user data at the database level using MongoDB.

• Examine client-server interactions with proxy tools to determine if bugs originate from the client or backend.

• Evaluate in-app purchases, attribution, personalization flows, and A/B tests that impact revenue.

• Confirm analytics events and tracking accuracy.

• Establish test conditions through the admin panel and JSON configurations.

• Develop and maintain test cases, checklists, bug reports, and comprehensive test reports.

• Utilize and expand an AI-driven toolset for generating test cases, creating checklists, and analyzing PRDs.

• Collaborate within Scrum methodologies to enhance testing speed and quality continuously.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in manual testing, including backend testing with API tools and databases.

• Practical experience testing iOS/Android applications on actual devices.

• Familiarity with proxy debugging tools such as Charles, Proxyman, or Fiddler.

• Strong understanding of test design methodologies and requirements analysis.

• Experience in testing in-app purchases.

• Proficiency in setting up test scenarios through JSON configurations or admin panels.

• Experience with test management platforms like Qase, TestRail, or similar tools.

• Familiarity with Claude or other AI tools for testing and the creation of test documentation.

• Experience in environments with rapid release cycles.

• English proficiency at a B1 level or higher.

• Structured thought processes, a willingness to learn, and effective communication skills.

• A results-oriented mindset, collaborative spirit, and adaptability.

• Experience with MongoDB Compass, analytics testing, A/B testing, marketing testing, localization testing, and TestFlight is advantageous.
