QA Engineer – 12-Month Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Test new functionalities, enhancements, and bug resolutions.

• Validate essential user flows and significant edge scenarios.

• Detect issues prior to their deployment in production.

• Clearly communicate quality-related risks.

• Review specifications and acceptance criteria.

• Identify gaps, edge cases, and potential risks before development commences.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to clarify expected behaviors.

• Prioritize testing efforts based on product risk assessment.

• Integrate both structured and exploratory testing methodologies.

• Ensure that critical regression scenarios are adequately addressed.

• Maintain documentation that is straightforward and beneficial.

• Produce clear and actionable bug reports.

• Investigate issues utilizing logs, APIs, and monitoring tools.

• Provide timely feedback throughout the development process.

• Assist in enhancing future testing based on insights gained from production.

• Utilize AI to support test design, investigations, and documentation processes.

• Review and validate outputs generated by AI.

• Continuously enhance testing workflows with the introduction of new tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer testing web applications.

• Strong grasp of software testing principles and test design methodologies.

• Practical experience in exploratory, functional, regression, and API testing.

• Capability to review requirements, pinpoint risks, and pose questions before development begins.

• Experience testing APIs using Postman or equivalent tools.

• Working knowledge of SQL or GraphQL for issue investigation and data validation.

• Experience in investigating issues using logs, monitoring, or analytics tools such as Sentry, Rollbar, or Amplitude.

• Familiarity with AI tools to enhance testing and investigation workflows while validating outcomes.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Experience collaborating in Agile, cross-functional product teams.

• Must be located within CET ±2 hours.

• Availability every working day between 9 am and 12 pm EST.

• Must be able to work from a location supported by the third-party payment provider.
