QA Engineer – 12-Month Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan.

📋 Description

• Test new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.

• Validate essential user flows and significant edge cases.

• Detect issues prior to their deployment in production.

• Clearly communicate quality risks.

• Review requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Identify gaps, edge cases, and possible risks.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to clarify expected behaviors.

• Prioritize testing efforts based on product risk assessments.

• Integrate structured and exploratory testing methods.

• Ensure crucial regression scenarios are adequately covered.

• Maintain clear and useful documentation.

• Write concise and actionable bug reports.

• Investigate issues utilizing logs, APIs, and monitoring tools.

• Provide timely feedback throughout the development process.

• Enhance future testing approaches based on insights gained from production.

• Leverage AI to assist in test design, investigations, and documentation.

• Review and validate outputs generated by AI.

• Continuously refine testing workflows with the adoption of new tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer testing web applications.

• Strong grasp of software testing principles and test design methodologies.

• Practical experience with exploratory, functional, regression, and API testing.

• Ability to assess requirements, identify risks, and raise inquiries prior to the start of development.

• Proficient in testing APIs using Postman or equivalent tools.

• Working knowledge of SQL or GraphQL for data validation and investigation.

• Experience in troubleshooting issues using logs, monitoring, or analytics tools such as Sentry, Rollbar, or Amplitude.

• Familiarity with AI tools to enhance testing and investigation workflows while validating outcomes.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Experience collaborating within Agile, cross-functional product teams.

• Must operate within CET ±2 hours.

• Must be available every working day from 9 am to 12 pm EST.
