QA Automation, Manual Testing Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain automated test suites for unit, integration, end-to-end, and API testing.

• Develop and execute manual test cases for new features, enhancements, and regression testing tasks.

• Operate within an AI-driven software development lifecycle (SDLC) and utilize AI tools throughout the software testing process.

• Create and uphold automated testing frameworks and reusable test components.

• Conduct API testing using Postman or comparable platforms.

• Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Implement and maintain automated quality gates.

• Analyze test results, pinpoint defects, and troubleshoot issues alongside developers.

• Execute regression, functional, integration, and exploratory testing.

• Collaborate with developers, Tech Leads, DevOps/SRE engineers, and product stakeholders.

• Identify gaps in test coverage and suggest enhancements.

• Maintain thorough documentation of test cases, scenarios, defects, and automation processes.

• Assist in establishing and enforcing QA best practices.

• Continually enhance the reliability, execution speed, and coverage of test automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in QA Engineering, Software Testing, Test Automation, or a related field.

• Practical experience with test automation frameworks.

• Proven experience in developing automated tests across various testing levels, including integration and end-to-end (E2E).

• Extensive experience with API testing, including tools like Postman.

• Familiarity with integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, particularly functional and regression testing.

• Comfort in working within an AI-driven SDLC and incorporating new AI tools into daily operations.

• Experience in identifying, documenting, and resolving software defects.

• Understanding of software development and QA lifecycle processes.

• Excellent attention to detail along with analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with developers and cross-functional engineering teams.

• Proficient English communication skills.

• Experience employing AI tools within the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), such as AI-assisted test case generation, test script creation, test data generation, coverage analysis, or defect triage.

• Familiarity with reviewing AI-generated code or test outputs for accuracy and coverage gaps.

• Experience with automation frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.

• Experience with API automation tools and frameworks.

• Familiarity with cloud-based applications.

• Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.

• Experience in performance or load testing.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Experience working with distributed or nearshore engineering teams.
