QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for API and backend services.

• Create dependable automated tests that encompass functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end scenarios.

• Review and enhance existing automation suites to improve maintainability and execution efficiency.

• Establish automation standards, best practices, and coding guidelines.

• Validate RESTful APIs, event-driven integrations, and microservices.

• Create API test scenarios that include functional validation, negative testing, error handling, security validation, performance considerations, and data consistency.

• Conduct contract and integration testing across various systems.

• Analyze API payloads, logs, and system interactions to detect defects.

• Engage in requirements and design reviews to identify potential risks at an early stage.

• Formulate test strategies and coverage for new features and crucial loan processing business flows.

• Promote shift-left testing methodologies.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Oversee and enhance test execution reliability.

• Assist in deployment validation and production readiness tasks.

• Deliver quality metrics and automation reports to project stakeholders.

• Perform code reviews and contribute to improvements in the automation framework.

• Collaborate with development, architecture, product, and operations teams.

• Champion continuous improvement in QA practices and processes.

• Join the Loan Processor team to ensure the quality of complex lending workflows, integrations, and microservices that support the loan origination and processing lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of QA Automation experience.

• At least 3 years of experience in API test automation.

• Proven experience testing enterprise applications with multiple integrations.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.

• Familiarity with OAuth2, JWT, and Basic Auth authentication methods.

• Knowledge of Swagger/OpenAPI.

• Proficient with RestAssured, Postman/Insomnia, or comparable API automation tools.

• Significant hands-on experience with C#.

• Experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks using TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, or xUnit.

• Proficient with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Git.

• Experience with microservices architecture.

• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Xray, or Zephyr.

• Knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ is advantageous.

• Experience in enterprise QA automation and API testing.
