QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and uphold automated testing frameworks and suites for UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines while enhancing their stability, speed, and maintainability.

• Create tools and resources that support testing efforts within the team.

• Establish testing strategies and plans informed by risk assessments, coverage, and release schedules.

• Engage in requirements, design, and code reviews.

• Set acceptance criteria and decide which tests should be automated versus those that require manual execution.

• Conduct functional, regression, and exploratory testing.

• Identify, document, and monitor defects.

• Contribute to performance and security testing initiatives.

• Evaluate quality prior to releases and examine production incidents to avert recurring problems.

• Track and report quality metrics, including test coverage, defect trends, and pipeline health.

• Advocate for testing best practices, mentor engineers, document processes, and suggest ongoing enhancements to tools and methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or software development.

• Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a focus on object-oriented design and maintainable test code.

• Practical experience in building UI test automation utilizing Playwright.

• Background in API test automation using JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Experience in executing and managing tests within CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficient in English at an advanced level.
