Performance Test Engineer, English Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Clearly and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Collaborate with development teams to create precise performance test models and simulate production-like load scenarios.

• Execute and evaluate load, stress, and stability tests to confirm system performance and identify potential bottlenecks.

• Work alongside developers and engineers to resolve issues, assist in defect resolution, and validate performance fixes.

• Offer technical advice to enhance application performance, capacity, reliability, and scalability.

• Conduct root cause analysis for performance-related issues and propose corrective and preventive measures.

• Oversee the performance engineering lifecycle, establish key metrics, and promote ongoing performance enhancements.

• Suggest enhancements to performance testing methodologies, tools, and practices at American Eagle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner Cloud, JMeter, BlazeMeter, NeoLoad, or similar platforms.

• Practical experience with chaos engineering tools and methodologies, including Chaos Monkey, Chaos Mesh, or comparable solutions.

• Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot application performance optimization, including thread dump and heap analysis.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or similar technologies.

• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.

• Experience in creating dashboards and monitoring application performance using Grafana, Splunk, New Relic, or equivalent tools.

• Capability to automate performance engineering tasks, including shift-left testing and report generation, utilizing AI-assisted workflows beyond basic prompting.

• Hands-on experience with MCP and integrating AI functionalities through CLI tools or VS Code.

• Strong scripting abilities in C, C++, Java, or JavaScript.

• Experience in automating CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, Bamboo, Git, Ansible, or similar tools.

• Familiarity with service virtualization tools such as BlazeMeter, OpenText Service Virtualization, or equivalent platforms.

• Ability to write complex SQL and NoSQL queries for data extraction and analysis.

• Advanced English proficiency.

• Experience in the retail industry (a plus).
