QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive mobile application testing for both Android and iOS platforms, focusing on UI, backend, API, and integration layers.

• Create, develop, and sustain automated test suites utilizing Java, Selenide, and TestNG.

• Carry out both automated and manual API testing with tools such as REST-assured, Postman, or equivalent solutions.

• Incorporate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.

• Engage in exploratory testing activities.

• Establish and uphold test plans, test cases, and test data documentation.

• Utilize cloud testing services such as LambdaTest, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs.

• Oversee defect management with Jira.

• Collaborate effectively with developers, product teams, and other cross-functional groups to ensure alignment on testing scope, coverage, and quality standards.

• Extensive experience in software testing and quality assurance methodologies.

• Proficient in Java programming language.

• Practical experience with Selenide and TestNG for test automation.

• Familiarity with API testing tools such as REST-assured, Postman, or similar applications.

• Understanding of GitLab CI or comparable CI/CD tools.

• Experience with cloud testing platforms like LambdaTest, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar services.

• Hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing processes.

• Proficient in using Jira or similar bug/test management systems.

• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.

• Strong command of the English language.
