QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing suites for backend services and APIs.

• Enhance the test automation framework along with its supporting infrastructure.

• Create and sustain internal automation tools and utilities.

• Devise and implement scalable solutions for test automation.

• Integrate automated testing processes into CI/CD pipelines.

• Analyze test outcomes, investigate failures, and conduct root cause analysis.

• Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to elevate product quality.

• Enhance test coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency.

• Engage in code reviews and establish best practices for automation.

• Contribute to the quality strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Assess and adopt contemporary engineering tools and practices, including AI-assisted development workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in QA Automation for Middle level or 5+ years for Senior level.

• Proficient in Python programming.

• Experience in developing and managing automated test frameworks.

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and test design techniques.

• Solid Linux administration skills and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Practical experience with Docker and containerized environments.

• Familiarity with CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, REST APIs, and client-server architecture.

• Experience in API testing, UI testing, and backend validation.

• Ability to comprehend and work with technical documentation in English.

• Capability to effectively utilize AI agents for code generation, debugging, test development, log analysis, and productivity enhancements.

• Experience with LLMs to expedite test case creation, automation development, and incident investigation.

• This position is available only under an employment (labor) agreement.
