QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests for web applications.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Analyze functional and technical requirements to define test scenarios and cases.

• Identify, document, and track defects throughout the development cycle.

• Maintain and enhance automation scripts and frameworks.

• Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with developers and other team members to identify risks and improve delivery quality.

• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum teams and various stages of the SDLC.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA standards, practices, and processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or related fields.

• Practical experience in test automation.

• Familiarity with Playwright, WebDriverIO, Selenium, or equivalent tools.

• Experience working with JavaScript and/or TypeScript for automation.

• Knowledge of Cucumber and BDD practices.

• Experience in API testing.

• Experience with functional and regression testing.

• Familiarity with tools for managing and tracking tests and defects.

• Experience with Git and CI/CD processes.

• Experience working under Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Ability to analyze requirements, identify critical scenarios, and work independently with technical and business teams.

• Preferred: Experience with Playwright, WebDriverIO, and Cucumber.

• Preferred: Knowledge of ECMAScript v6.

• Preferred: Experience with Jira, Xray, or similar test management tools.

• Preferred: Experience in banking, fintech, payments, or transactional platforms.
