This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Conduct hands-on functional, gameplay, regression, exploratory, and integration testing.
• Evaluate new features and gameplay systems against design and technical specifications.
• Detect, reproduce, document, and monitor bugs until they are resolved.
• Generate clear and comprehensive bug reports, detailing reproduction steps, expected versus actual results, severity, and supporting evidence.
• Carry out regression testing to confirm that fixes and new features do not introduce additional problems.
• Test across various game builds and configurations while identifying platform- or environment-specific issues.
• Collaborate closely with Developers, Designers, Producers, and other QA team members to investigate and resolve issues.
• Engage in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, bug triage, and other Agile development processes.
• Assist in maintaining and enhancing QA processes, test plans, checklists, and documentation.
• Recognize potential quality risks early and communicate them to the relevant stakeholders.
• Support milestone and release testing, including prioritizing critical issues under tight deadlines.
• Deliver clear and concise feedback regarding overall build quality and game functionality.
• Over 3 years of professional QA experience in the video game industry.
• In-depth understanding of game testing methodologies and QA processes.
• Proven experience testing gameplay features and systems across development builds.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify issues that could negatively affect the player experience.
• Proficient in documenting and communicating bugs and technical issues clearly.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira.
• Comfortable operating in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Able to work independently while effectively collaborating with a multidisciplinary development team.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Candidates must reside in the province of Quebec.
• Nice to have: Experience testing games developed with Unreal Engine 5.
• Nice to have: Previous experience testing multiplayer or online games, including network-related functionality.
• Nice to have: Experience with multiplayer testing scenarios such as matchmaking, connectivity, latency, sessions, progression, and synchronization.
• Nice to have: Experience testing games across multiple platforms.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with Unreal Engine tools and workflows.
• Nice to have: Experience testing console builds.
• Nice to have: Experience with performance, stability, or compatibility testing.
• Nice to have: Experience working on AAA or AA game projects.
• Nice to have: Knowledge of basic QA automation or scripting.
