This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, create, and sustain Python scripts for intricate third-party API integrations.
• Extract, interpret, and streamline unstructured and semi-structured data such as JSON, XML, flat files, and logs.
• Collaborate with Database Administrators and Cloud Engineers to automate infrastructure, monitoring, maintenance, and alert remediation tasks.
• Write and enhance PySpark transformations within Microsoft Fabric notebooks.
• Develop internal tools, command-line interfaces, and microservices.
• Utilize Git for version control of scripts, rigorously test code, and integrate it into automated deployment pipelines.
• Connect legacy systems, third-party APIs, and the contemporary data estate.
• Offer operational problem-solving assistance throughout the Data Operations team.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4+ years of professional experience in software development, primarily focused on Python.
• Profound knowledge of web services and RESTful APIs, including OAuth, API keys, pagination, and rate limiting.
• Extensive experience in parsing and manipulating JSON, XML, and CSV using Pandas, Requests, and JSON libraries.
• Familiarity with PySpark and distributed data processing in Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or Synapse.
• Strong understanding of SQL for querying and validating relational database data.
• Proficient in Git version control and CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Ability to adapt between API integrations and infrastructure automation.
• Skill in troubleshooting poorly documented legacy systems and securely extracting data.
• Dedication to writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• PCPP1 certification is preferred.
• Microsoft Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) certification is preferred.
• Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark certification is preferred.
