Public Relations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Pitch and secure coverage for stories with top-tier tech, business, and AI trade media and influencers.

• Cultivate enduring relationships with media and influencers.

• Keep track of the news cycle and competitive landscape utilizing AI-driven workflows.

• Create viewpoints on emerging trends and provide expert commentary.

• Position WEKA experts as authoritative voices in AI infrastructure through bylines, contributed articles, podcasts, speaking engagements, and industry accolades and rankings.

• Implement public relations strategies for product launches and company milestones, including press releases, embargoes, briefing preparation, and sequencing.

• Coordinate communications among spokespeople, external stakeholders, agencies, and channels.

• Lead an integrated communications strategy driven by earned media and supported by owned and paid channels.

• Oversee the daily operations of the external agency, including work priorities, pitches, and outcomes.

• Manage the PR scorecard, which includes metrics such as share of voice, media mentions, publication penetration, message pull-through, sentiment analysis, and WEKA's visibility in AI-generated responses.

• Report directly to the Director of Corporate Communications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in PR or corporate communications, either in-house or at an agency (8+ years for Senior Manager consideration).

• Experience in B2B technology, ideally within enterprise software or data infrastructure.

• Demonstrated success in building trusted relationships with media and influencers.

• Proven ability to craft compelling earned pitches that achieve top-tier story placements.

• A portfolio of earned media coverage showcasing measurable results.

• Experience managing end-to-end product launches and embargoed news announcements.

• Proficient in coordinating multiple stakeholders and spokespeople.

• Familiarity with AI tools and workflows for research, drafting, monitoring, and measurement in communications.

• Exceptional writing and storytelling capabilities.

• Strong editorial judgment and standards.

• Experience with newswire services and PR analytics platforms.

• Preferred: Experience in the AI and/or data infrastructure industry.

• Preferred: Knowledge of GPUs, tokens, and memory bottlenecks.

• Preferred: A blend of agency and in-house experience.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Cision One and PR Newswire.

• Preferred: Experience with global growth-stage companies in competitive, fast-paced technology sectors.
