Public Affairs Manager – Digital Education

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Establish connections with policymakers, ministries, and education authorities, especially at the state level.

• Represent sofatutor at conferences, trade shows, public events, and committee meetings.

• Keep track of regulatory changes.

• Formulate strategic advice for the team and the organization.

• Directly market school products to federal states, educational authorities, and local education institutions.

• Negotiate product alternatives and contract conditions.

• Create position papers, briefings, and materials for political communication.

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Schools to influence education policy in Germany.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in public affairs, government relations, political communications, or a similar field—preferably within the (digital) education sector.

• Familiarity with relevant education policy institutions and processes, including the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (KMK), federal bodies, education ministries, and state education regulations.

• Confident interaction with political decision-makers and public institutions, along with an understanding of the relevant decision-making processes.

• Exceptional communication skills and the capability to present complex issues clearly to diverse audiences.

• Enjoy networking and representing sofatutor through presentations and panel discussions.

• Willingness to travel within Germany to regularly represent sofatutor at trade fairs and networking events (approximately once or twice a month).

• Native-level proficiency in German.

• Proficient English skills for internal communications.
