Psychology Research Subject Matter Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Assist in advancing research initiatives within USAFSAM/FESP.

• Offer expertise in study design, statistical analysis, behavioral science research, and project coordination to support human performance research goals.

• Help develop and implement detailed study protocols, which include hypothesis formulation, research methodologies, data collection techniques, and statistical analysis strategies in collaboration with USAFSAM/FESP professional personnel.

• Conduct reviews of scientific literature and execute data analyses to aid customer leadership and research aims.

• Provide guidance to USAFSAM/FESP staff on the most effective statistical methodologies and analytical techniques for study data.

• Perform both descriptive and inferential statistical analyses utilizing suitable statistical software and research approaches.

• Assist in reducing threats to data validity and uphold the integrity of statistical products and online data repositories.

• Oversee and coordinate research data processes, encompassing acquisition, input, maintenance, storage, and electronic formatting of project data.

• Support project teams with data collection, database upkeep, and the downloading of assessment data into project databases.

• Prepare scientific and statistical reports to support peer-reviewed publications, technical reports, and professional presentations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in Research Psychology, Industrial Organizational Psychology, or a related Psychology field.

• At least five (5) years of experience in:

• Database development and data management.

• Research data collection and organization.

• Statistical analysis and interpretation.

• Research report writing.

• Formulating actionable recommendations to enhance human performance.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in designing and executing statistical analyses using software such as:

• JMP.

• SPSS.

• R.

• Other comparable statistical analysis tools.

• At least five (5) years of experience in developing research outcome products, which include:

• Professional presentations.

• Peer-reviewed publications.

• Technical reports.

• A minimum of five (5) years of administrative management experience related to:

• Study design.

• Research methodologies.

• Dissemination of empirically based human performance research findings.

• Capability to maintain a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
