Psychologist Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Authorize, oversee, and monitor care for behavioral health and/or substance use disorders based on clinical information and medical necessity criteria.

• Conduct peer evaluations with psychologists, behavioral health therapists, and/or Board Certified Behavior Analysts for outpatient services and/or requests for psychological testing.

• Engage with network practitioners to provide education on best practice models and utilization management procedures.

• Collaborate with the Medical Director or their designee regarding inquiries related to clinical authorization and case concerns.

• Address complaints from the state, providers, and members concerning psychological testing or services that necessitate a PhD/PsyD review.

• Facilitate outpatient rounds, offering clinical insights and oversight related to outpatient services.

• Carry out other responsibilities as assigned.

• Adhere to all relevant policies and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must possess an active psychologist license in Arkansas, California, Kentucky, or North Carolina.

• Licenses from other states may be accepted if the candidate is willing and able to secure any additional required licensure.

• A PhD in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Behavior Analysis, or a related field is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Behavioral Health is required.

• Proficient understanding of psychological tests and testing procedures, diagnostic evaluations, and evidence-based practices is necessary.

• PSY - Psychologist Unrestricted License (PhD or PsyD) is required upon hire.

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) / BCBA-D is preferred upon hire.
