Psychiatrist – Child & Adolescent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments.

• Develop precise diagnoses and create tailored treatment plans.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic methods and medication management strategies for anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders.

• Cultivate collaborative treatment environments while educating families on mental health topics.

• Involve families in the planning of care and offer guidance on supportive actions at home.

• Conduct virtual psychiatric consultations and maintain ongoing communication with members and their families.

• Attend team meetings and engage in collaborative care planning.

• Provide consultative assistance to other team members.

• Keep accurate and timely documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes.

• Utilize data analytics to evaluate outcomes and enhance care quality.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory and quality standards.

• Engage in continuous professional development and uphold ethical, patient-centered care practices.

• Conduct live 60-minute video intake sessions and regular follow-up appointments.

• Provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management services.

• Refer patients to evidence-based therapy and coaching services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with an active license in at least one state.

• Preferred experience in delivering telehealth therapy services in a virtual setting (video and teletherapy), though not mandatory.

• Proficiency in using computer and live video tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.).

• Proven skills in family engagement and experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults.

• Commitment to and knowledge of JCAHO guidelines.

• Competence in practicing within an accredited framework to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
