Psychiatrist – Child & Adolescent – 1099 Contractor, Virtual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough psychiatric assessments, establish precise diagnoses, and develop personalized treatment plans.

• Apply evidence-based therapeutic methods and medication management approaches for conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders.

• Create a collaborative, family-oriented treatment setting and inform families about mental health topics.

• Conduct live 60-minute virtual psychiatric intake and follow-up appointments.

• Maintain consistent communication with members and families through technological means.

• Engage in team meetings and collaborative care planning processes.

• Offer consultative assistance to fellow team members.

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes.

• Utilize data analytics to evaluate outcomes and enhance the quality of care.

• Guarantee adherence to regulatory and quality standards.

• Participate in ongoing professional growth and practice ethical, patient-centered care.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with a valid license in at least one state.

• Preferred experience in providing telehealth therapy services in a virtual setting (video and teletherapy), though not mandatory.

• Proficiency in computer and live video tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.).

• Proven skills in family engagement and experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults.

• Dedication to and understanding of JCAHO guidelines, along with the ability to practice within an accredited framework to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
