Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Telehealth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Perform virtual psychiatric assessments and evaluations to establish suitable medication management plans for clients.

• Prescribe and oversee psychiatric medications, making necessary adjustments to dosages and treatment strategies.

• Collaborate with licensed therapists and counselors to provide integrated and comprehensive care for clients.

• Educate and support clients and their families regarding medication adherence, potential side effects, and therapeutic interventions.

• Maintain precise and timely clinical documentation while adhering to ethical guidelines and legal standards.

• Exercise clinical autonomy in decision-making and apply clinical judgment and expertise to determine effective and appropriate strategies for clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Applicants for the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position must have an independent collaborative physician arrangement that enables them to practice autonomously.

• Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in psychiatric-mental health.

• Current state licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner along with national certification.

• At least 2 years of post-certification clinical experience in psychiatric-mental health.

• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and technology for virtual patient consultations.

• Strong skills in clinical assessment, diagnostics, and medication management.

• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities.
