Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Telehealth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Perform virtual psychiatric assessments and evaluations to establish suitable medication management plans for clients.

• Prescribe and oversee psychiatric medications, modifying dosages and treatment plans as required.

• Work in conjunction with licensed therapists and counselors to provide integrated and comprehensive care for clients.

• Offer education and support to clients and their families concerning medication adherence, possible side effects, and therapeutic interventions.

• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation while complying with ethical guidelines and legal standards.

• Utilize autonomy in making clinical decisions about effective and appropriate treatment approaches for clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Applicants for the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position must have an independent collaborative physician arrangement that enables autonomous practice.

• A Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in psychiatric-mental health is required.

• Current state licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner along with national certification is necessary.

• At least 2 years of post-certification clinical experience in psychiatric-mental health is required.

• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and technology for virtual patient consultations is essential.

• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and medication management abilities are needed.
