Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP – Telehealth Addiction & Mental Health Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Conduct initial and follow-up telehealth assessments.

• Provide care for mental health conditions and substance use disorders.

• Prescribe medications as necessary and address member inquiries.

• Ensure timely documentation in the Healthie EHR system.

• Collaborate with the care team and engage in scheduled team meetings.

• Deliver evidence-based treatment in a completely virtual setting.

• Evaluate and manage complex mental health issues.

• Prescribe Suboxone for Opioid Use Disorder; prescribing of other controlled substances is not permitted.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted PMHNP license in Illinois (Medicaid enrollment is advantageous).

• Active license in your state of residence if it differs from Illinois.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience (preferably in addiction or mental health; strong candidates with less experience will be considered).

• Experience in prescribing Suboxone and possessing an active DEA registration.

• Willingness to acquire additional state licenses (cost covered by Affect).

• Strong empathy for individuals encountering behavioral health challenges.

• Comfort with technology, including EHR systems and mobile applications.

• A private, quiet workspace and dependable internet connection for HIPAA-compliant telehealth appointments.
