Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP – Telehealth, Addiction & Mental Health Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Perform both initial and follow-up telehealth assessments.

• Provide care for individuals dealing with substance use and mental health issues.

• Prescribe medications when necessary and address member inquiries.

• Maintain accurate records in the Healthie EHR system.

• Work in tandem with counselors, therapists, peer support specialists, case managers, and the wider care team.

• Participate in scheduled team meetings as required.

• Deliver evidence-based treatments for individuals with substance use and mental health disorders.

• Make clinical decisions at the provider's discretion in collaboration with patients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess an active and verifiable PMHNP license in the states where you practice, including your state of residence if it is not Illinois.

• Hold an active, unrestricted license in Illinois.

• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in addiction or mental health treatment; relevant prior experience will be considered for those with less than 2 years as a PMHNP.

• Demonstrate experience in prescribing Suboxone.

• Maintain an active DEA registration.

• Be willing to secure multi-state licensure.

• Medicaid enrollment is an advantage.

• Show empathy towards members facing behavioral health challenges.

• Be comfortable using technology, including EHR systems and mobile applications.

• Have a quiet, private office with a reliable internet connection for HIPAA-compliant telehealth consultations.
