Provider Services Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Manage provider inquiries via telephone, electronic communication, web, provider portal, chat between plans, and in-person interactions.

• Accurately present and discuss the company's products and services with both internal and external providers.

• Address provider concerns with a focus on achieving first-call resolution and supporting provider retention efforts.

• Build and sustain positive relationships with providers on behalf of the organization.

• Address providers' needs thoroughly and promptly, striving to prevent escalations whenever possible.

• Assist sales representatives by participating in onsite or community-based educational meetings as business needs allow.

• Achieve goals related to quality, productivity, adherence, handle-time, and provider relations.

• Complete training that includes initial, task-specific, ongoing, and refresher sessions.

• Acquire new skills and modify processes to enhance work quality.

• Identify, document, and notify supervisors about trends observed in provider calls.

• Conduct work in alignment with the organization's values.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service.

• Possession of a High School Diploma or GED.

• Capability to understand and interpret detailed policies and procedures and apply them to various situations.

• Comprehensive knowledge of maintaining the privacy of Protected Health Information as mandated by HIPAA.

• Ability to work independently, demonstrate flexibility, and respond appropriately to changing job assignments and work environments.

• Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills.

• Capacity to respond to routine and complex customer inquiries that involve sensitive topics.

• Proficiency in using telephone equipment systems such as Interactive Voice Response and Automated Call Distribution.

• Familiarity with PC operations and the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience interacting with providers is preferred, but not mandatory.

• Bilingual ability in Spanish is an advantage.
