This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in identifying prospects, qualifying them, and developing a pipeline for the Global Philanthropic Engagement fundraising team.
• Conduct research on philanthropic donor prospects, evaluating their philanthropic history, interests, network connections, and giving behaviors.
• Perform comprehensive wealth assessments to forecast potential giving capacity.
• Evaluate current donor portfolios to enhance fundraising efforts and uncover unutilized philanthropic potential.
• Convert data into actionable insights to drive fundraising outcomes.
• Create research reports and donor profiles that provide clear insights and actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate strategically with the fundraising team and work cross-functionally to incorporate donor research into campaigns and initiatives.
• Enhance the organization’s donor database and prospect management systems.
• Stay informed about research and fundraising industry trends, philanthropic advancements, and best practices in prospect research.
• Champion the needs of children and uphold Compassion’s ministry, cultural values, prayer commitments, and child protection obligations.
• A follower of Christ who nurtures a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and consistently shares this faith.
• Dedication to child protection principles and adherence to Compassion's Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., nonprofit management, fundraising, data analytics, business intelligence).
• Over three years of experience in prospect research, donor research, fundraising intelligence, or related roles in nonprofit, fundraising, or development sectors.
• Strong analytical abilities with a knack for translating data into actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of integrity and ethical standards in managing sensitive donor information and safeguarding confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Proficient in fundraising CRMs, with a preference for Salesforce, and data visualization tools like Tableau.
• Experience with online databases and research tools such as WealthEngine and LexisNexis.
• Preference for candidates with experience in large-scale capital campaigns or multi-year fundraising initiatives.
• Expertise in wealth analysis, donor profiling, and trends in philanthropy is preferred.
