Proposals and Contracts Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire Request for Proposals (RFP) process, which includes receiving, analyzing, coordinating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and delivering thorough proposals.

• Create and formulate strategic proposals and budgets in response to RFPs.

• Direct the development and negotiation of contracts across various internal departments.

• Set up and uphold account-specific contract standards, encompassing budget presentation formats, payment terms, and contract terminology.

• Identify and address potential barriers related to RFPs and contracts by employing mitigation strategies.

• Juggle multiple complex tasks, priorities, and stringent deadlines effectively.

• Lead and conduct client meetings to negotiate costs, terms, and contract specifics.

• Ensure accurate documentation and data management for proposals, contracts, supporting files, metrics, and KPI tracking.

• Collaborate with Operations, Project Management, Legal, Business Development, and Finance teams.

• Manage client relationships while delivering finalized proposals and contracts ready for client review.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Business, Languages, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• 4-6 years of prior experience in project support, finance, contracting, or proposals within a CRO or a similar regulated setting.

• Familiarity with clinical trial processes, contract management principles, and pricing frameworks.

• In-depth understanding of cash flow and revenue recognition.

• Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.

• Proficient in proposal and contract management, including pricing frameworks, contractual terms, and relevant data management systems such as Salesforce.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.

• High attention to detail and a dedication to delivering quality work punctually.

• Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and database systems.

• Knowledge of clinical research operations and the ability to work independently within a matrix environment.

• Capability to work from home and adapt to irregular or extended hours as needed to meet proposal deadlines.

• MBA or an advanced business degree is preferred.

• Previous experience in proposal development within a clinical research or CRO environment is preferred.

• Experience in multinational and multicultural organizations is preferred.

• Supervisory or mentoring experience is preferred.
