Proposal Associate II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Generate quotations for protocols, bid requests, study modifications, and additions utilizing company pricing tools.

• Conduct budget-to-actual reconciliations at specified intervals during awarded studies.

• Provide recommendations on favorable proposals based on financial and operational criteria.

• Collaborate with Business Development Directors to ensure that clinical study quotes are comprehensive and meet client requirements.

• Organize and facilitate the quotation process with relevant staff and partner laboratories.

• Assist in tracking proposals.

• Update Salesforce and maintain the accuracy of departmental information.

• Manage low- to medium-complexity opportunities as needed by the business unit or team.

• Shadow or support senior colleagues on medium- to high-complexity opportunities when required.

• Engage in departmental initiatives within Business Operations.

• Assist with the preparation of departmental reports.

• Provide backup support for other departmental functions.

• Carry out other related duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field such as science, business, or marketing.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a pharmaceutical, clinical research, or healthcare setting.

• Ideally, prior experience in a Proposals role or a closely related position.

• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered as a substitute.

• Capability to perform calculations and manage budgets effectively.

• Proficiency in applying mathematical concepts to budget management for clinical trials.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint.

• Quick aptitude for learning new database software.

• Preference for candidates with experience in Salesforce and SharePoint.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or clinical research protocols.

• Competence in writing reports and business correspondence.

• Skill in presenting information and addressing questions from colleagues and clients.

• Ability to resolve practical problems and navigate limited-standardization scenarios.

• Capacity to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled instructions.
