This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.
• Oversee the comprehensive proposal development process for library system acquisitions, encompassing ILS/LSP, discovery, digital resource management, and analytics.
• Create and enhance AI agents to boost efficiency and broaden the proposal pipeline.
• Formulate proposal strategies that align with functionality, interoperability, accessibility, and total cost of ownership criteria.
• Coordinate timelines, schedules, deliverables, and cross-functional proposal teams.
• Evaluate proposals for technical accuracy, completeness, defensibility, potential gaps, risks, and over-commitments.
• Address follow-up inquiries and clarification requests from prospects after proposal submission.
• Assist with technical questionnaires, security assessments, and requirement clarifications.
• Preserve and enhance the Loopio knowledge base, which includes reusable library-technology content, case studies, methodologies, and templates.
• Engage in content review cycles and adhere to knowledge-base governance standards.
• Conduct product demonstrations for APAC customers and prospects.
• Occasionally present product webinars and additional demonstrations, including scripted RFP demos and oral presentations.
• Prepare and maintain demo environments, scripts, and datasets.
• Craft persuasive content that addresses library workflows, discovery, interoperability, cloud architecture, hosting, security, and data privacy.
• Convert technical platform capabilities into tangible outcomes for librarians, faculty, and patrons.
• Develop strategic messaging, executive summaries, and value narratives for academic, public, consortia, and K–12 segments.
• Collaborate with Sales, Pre-Sales, Product, Engineering, Implementation, Support, Marketing, and other teams.
• Ensure adherence to procurement requirements, mandatory forms, technical matrices, pricing structures, terminology, metadata standards, and accessibility requirements.
• Review and proofread proposal materials.
• Incorporate competitive intelligence on library platforms and facilitate win/loss reviews.
• Tailor proposals, monitor proposal success metrics, and continuously refine proposal processes.
• Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or a related field.
• Proficiency in technical writing, ideally in library technology, EdTech, or SaaS platforms serving the public sector or education.
• Solid understanding of library operations and workflows.
• Comprehensive knowledge of metadata standards and interoperability.
• Strong grasp of cloud-based enterprise software solutions.
• Proven experience in responding to formal RFPs for public or academic institutions.
• Strong technical aptitude and capability to learn and demonstrate complex software.
• Confident presentation skills, with experience leading live product demos or webinars for customer audiences.
• Outstanding writing, editing, and project management abilities.
• Located in the Pacific time zone (preferred).
• Ability to conduct APAC demos, occasionally in the late afternoon or evening Pacific time.
• Preferred: in-depth knowledge of Symphony ILS, BLUEcloud apps, and CloudSource.
• Preferred: experience in pre-sales, solutions consulting, or sales engineering.
• Preferred: experience managing content in Loopio or a similar proposal content library.
• Preferred: experience presenting to customers in the Asia-Pacific region.
• Preferred: direct experience working with libraries.
• Preferred: familiarity with WCAG and public procurement standards.
• Preferred: understanding of open access, digital collections, and linked data.
• Fully remote position available in the US or Canada.
• Flexibility in scheduling APAC demos.
• Opportunities for occasional travel for trade shows and onsite demonstrations.
