Property Portfolio Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily operations for a property investment and management portfolio comprising 10 properties, which includes residential units, holiday rentals, and commercial properties.

• Supervise rent monitoring, coordinate maintenance, ensure landlord compliance, and address tenant issues.

• Facilitate arrangements with UK-based contractors for repairs, routine inspections, and property access.

• Manage professional communications with finance managers, mortgage brokers, insurers, solicitors, and other advisors.

• Assist in property acquisitions from the initial phases through to conveyancing, legal finalization, and operational onboarding.

• Keep precise property records, compliance timelines, and management systems updated.

• Create documented procedures and leverage AI and automation tools to improve workflows.

• Aid in coordinating both remote and UK-based teams.

• Handle general administrative follow-ups and operational tasks.

• Collaborate directly with the Managing Director as the primary coordination link among stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in property management, executive assistance, or operations management.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, contractors, solicitors, brokers, and advisors.

• Proactive, reliable, and comfortable managing an independent workload from a remote home office in South Africa.

• Keen interest in systems, technology, and the integration of AI tools.

• Previous experience in UK property management, including HMOs and landlord compliance frameworks (preferred).

• Background in property acquisitions, finance or mortgage coordination, and remote team management (preferred).

• Knowledge of COHO, Xero, ClickUp, Microsoft 365, OneDrive, WhatsApp, SpareRoom/OpenRent, and AI tools such as Hermes Agent and ChatGPT (preferred).
