Property Management Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver bookkeeping and accounting services to franchise owners.

• Uphold accounting best practices for the assigned franchises.

• Foster trust and ensure transparent communication with assigned franchises.

• Examine financial data that outlines income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.

• Generate balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports that summarize the current and projected financial position of the company.

• Compile and scrutinize financial data to prepare general ledger entries and document business transactions.

• Serve as the primary contact for issues specific to franchise business owners.

• Prepare, review, and assist with bank account reconciliations.

• Educate and support franchise staff in industry-specific software accounting practices and procedures.

• Assist franchises with unique accounting requests.

• Uphold the confidentiality of personal information.

• Comprehend and implement generally accepted accounting principles in the business context.

• Capacity to train new franchises.

• Skill in building relationships and trust with new franchises.

• An Associate's degree in Accounting or General Business is required.

• 2-3 years of experience in property management accounting.

• Familiarity with Appfolio, Propertyware, or other Property Management Software is a plus, but not mandatory.
