Property Claims Quality Assurance Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead a team of Quality Assurance Representatives or Claims Quality & Subrogation Analysts.

• Review claim files to ensure accuracy and compliance with the CA Department of Insurance Fair Claims Settlement Practices Regulations.

• Manage communications with the Department of Insurance.

• Assist claims examiners in conducting coverage analysis.

• Collaborate with analyst and QA Representative teams to facilitate daily workflow.

• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and workflows for quality assurance.

• Hire, train, mentor, and support QA Representatives and Claims Quality & Subrogation Analysts.

• Provide file data for reviews and maintain the audit platform.

• Directly oversee file reviews and manage responses to CDI complaints.

• Offer feedback regarding auditing accuracy and CDI response letters.

• Recommend training and improvements based on findings.

• Manage monthly file audit calibrations and summarize the results.

• Review and analyze claim handling practices.

• Evaluate repair estimates for accuracy and compliance with industry/CFP guidelines and client requirements.

• Compile requests for estimate revisions and coordinate with network contractors.

• Create and maintain workbooks, questionnaires, processes, and training materials.

• Lead projects including the implementation of QA software and reporting systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

• Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and property claims.

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in property insurance claims.

• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

• Exceptional organizational, file management, and time management skills.

• Keen attention to detail; ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Adaptability and proven capability to manage change effectively.

• Proficient in MS-Office is required.

• Expertise in the Xactimate estimating program.

• Certification in CEA and knowledge of CA Fair Claims Settlement Practices Regulations.
