This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Promptly and efficiently investigate and resolve homeowners' claims of moderate complexity.
β’ Document claims using photographs, measurements, recorded interviews, file notes, and repair estimates.
β’ Utilize imagery and advanced video technology to collaborate with onsite vendors and insured individuals, identifying damage from a virtual environment.
β’ Assess investigation facts against policies to determine coverage, extending or denying it as necessary.
β’ Establish reserve amounts within designated settlement authority limits.
β’ Negotiate claim settlements and refer claims that exceed authority limits to a supervisor.
β’ Communicate with insureds and/or their representatives via phone, email, text, and written correspondence.
β’ Comply with Department of Insurance requirements.
β’ Manage responsibilities and claims workload, tracking progress and expenses until resolution.
β’ Direct, monitor, and review files managed by independent adjusters as needed.
β’ Perform additional assigned tasks.
β’ Bachelorβs degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
β’ Ability to acquire state-specific property claims licensing as required.
β’ Must successfully complete a formal property claims training program that may be conducted in person, virtually, or a combination of both.
β’ Prior experience with estimating software such as Xactimate.
β’ Background in a related field: property claims experience, customer service, construction, restoration, or mitigation.
β’ Excellent and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
β’ 3-5+ years of relevant industry experience is preferred.
β’ Capability to work independently with minimal supervision in daily activities required for successful investigation, evaluation, writing damage estimates, negotiating, and resolving property claims.
β’ Comfortable with and adaptable to new technology and business tools.
β’ Ability to switch between various inspection methods, including video or photo, to create a damage estimate.
β’ Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities.
β’ Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed.
β’ Must be available to work standard hours Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm PT.
