Property Claims Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Manager of Property Claims.

• Manage homeowner claims from a technical standpoint.

• Foster customer-centric values.

• Analyze insurance policy language, ascertain policy coverages, and establish reserves for all assigned claims.

• Investigate, negotiate, and resolve homeowner claims that range from moderate to high complexity through phone and/or written communication.

• Adhere to Allstate's policies, procedures, and best practices.

• Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory standards while meticulously documenting files.

• Resolve claims within your personal authority and adhere to company protocols for claims that exceed this authority.

• Manage a caseload in line with the responsibilities of a Claim Advisor for Homeowners.

• Take responsibility and accountability for addressing customer issues.

• Engage and communicate professionally with claimants, vendors, and other insurance entities.

• Collaborate effectively with Homeowner Adjusters and Claims Assistants.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience as a Claim Advisor.

• Bilingual skills are a plus – English and French.

• Previous insurance experience and familiarity with automobile and property claims is preferred.

• Strong critical thinking abilities to discern the strengths and weaknesses of claims.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Strong customer service orientation.

• Detail-oriented approach.

• Proficient in insurance claims processes.

• Ability to prioritize effectively.

• Strong problem-solving skills.
