Property Claim Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Engage in structured training sessions, including virtual, classroom, and hands-on experiences, focusing on insurance policies, claims procedures, systems, and protocols.

• Review, investigate, and document first-party property claims under the guidance of a supervisor.

• Collect information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.

• Examine and evaluate pertinent facts and documents such as leases, contracts, and bylaws.

• Determine coverage for building damages in accordance with policy terms.

• Accurately define the scope of damages for building and contents losses.

• Create written estimates and/or utilize computer-assisted estimating tools.

• Interact professionally and timely with customers, claimants, and internal stakeholders.

• Maintain precise claim activity records within claims management systems.

• Adapt to AI, digital transformation, new technologies, system upgrades, and the rollout of digital tools.

• Obtain and retain necessary insurance licenses and/or UAS Remote Pilot Certification.

• Evaluate and inspect all aspects of dwellings or structures.

• Travel frequently, including overnight stays, to assist customers in various locations.

• Advance towards independent claims handling and full claims responsibility following the successful completion of the 9-12 month program.

• Carry out other assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with at least one year of customer service experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Prior internship or work experience in customer service or insurance is preferred.

• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license as mandated by state law.

• Valid driver's license is required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Eagerness to learn claims management and estimating software.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capacity to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions within prescribed authority.

• Exceptional customer service skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities; able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Basic conflict resolution skills.

• Ability to assess and inspect roofs, attics, crawl spaces, and other confined areas.

• Capacity to carry, set up, and climb ladders weighing approximately 38-49 pounds.

• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.

• Commitment to acquire and maintain relevant Insurance License(s) and/or a UAS Remote Pilot Certification within three months of employment.

• Willingness to live in or relocate at one’s own expense to the designated territory.
