Property Adjuster II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Exercise independent judgment and discretion in managing various types of property claims.

• Assist or represent the claims supervisor as needed.

• Conduct investigations and interviews while inspecting damage by visiting sites within the designated territory.

• Prepare estimates, provide recommendations, address coverage inquiries, and manage litigation matters.

• Establish and maintain reserves; review reports and related documentation.

• Direct experts, assess coverage and claim value, issue or deny payments, and negotiate claims with plaintiff attorneys as required.

• Document claim files and submit reports for closure.

• Identify subrogation opportunities and initiate appropriate actions.

• Serve the assigned territory and ensure the resolution of assigned claims.

• Collaborate with agents and district sales managers on shared concerns.

• Represent the company in legal proceedings when necessary.

• Complete industry-related training and participate in ongoing training regarding policy changes, interpretation, and legislation.

• Assist in the training of new claims adjusters.

• Participate in the Catastrophe Team as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with five years of claims handling experience, or equivalent; alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree with two years of claims handling experience, or equivalent, is required.

• The incumbent must reside in the assigned territory unless a relocation is approved by the company.

• Ability to drive and travel regularly within the assigned territory.

• Service on the Catastrophe Team, which may require short-notice travel to other locations for periods exceeding two consecutive weeks.

• Willingness to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses.

• Successful completion of the Associate in Claims (AIC) program is preferred.

• A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required.

• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

• Ability to lift over 50 lbs with the assistance of lifting equipment.

• Capability to climb and access heights.

• Frequent driving, manual keying, data entry, and computer usage are required.

• Strong time management and organizational skills are preferred.
