Property Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Prepare monthly financial reports and complete the month-end closing process.

• Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger entries, and balance sheet accounts.

• Record journal entries while maintaining precise financial records.

• Analyze financial outcomes and investigate discrepancies.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.

• Work in collaboration with Property Managers to ensure financial precision.

• Ensure adherence to GAAP and the company's accounting policies.

• Identify ways to enhance accounting processes and controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, ideally in real estate or property management.

• At least 2 years of experience using Yardi software.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and principles of financial reporting.

• Experience with month-end closing and account reconciliations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions.
