Project Specialist – Expanded Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary technical or operational contact for radon and asbestos consulting contracts.

• Offer technical and administrative support for project assignments, including setup, scheduling, coordination, preparation, and completion.

• Analyze and interpret project information in accordance with technical standards, client requirements, procedures, and protocols.

• Manage project requirements, status updates, findings, outstanding items, and issues in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.

• Supervise project progress and quality, addressing or escalating issues as necessary.

• Provide technical support and guidance to employees and project resources.

• Coordinate activities conducted by staff, vendors, subcontractors, and other resources.

• Prepare, review, coordinate, and assist with technical documents, reports, correspondence, and deliverables.

• Facilitate client consultations and third-party reviews to ensure regulatory compliance.

• Manage proposals, project scopes, and subcontractor involvement.

• Develop asbestos sampling plans, result analyses, operations and maintenance (O&Ms), radon reports, mitigation plans, and other deliverables.

• Assess and interpret radon reports to define project conditions.

• Generate reports for timely client delivery and authorize shipment or transmittal.

• Oversee client portfolios, meetings, communications, and work related to portfolio properties.

• Serve as the technical lead for designated regional clients and protocols.

• Create purchase orders and conduct follow-ups as necessary.

• Maintain the scheduling database and track employee/subcontractor availability.

• Train and mentor staff; respond to technical inquiries and provide guidance.

• Conduct interviews and phone screenings of potential candidates.

• Offer indirect personnel management, technical leadership, and quality assurance.

• Provide customer service through prompt responses and proactive solutions.

• Uphold confidentiality and adhere to company policies, legal standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements.

• Travel occasionally to client or project sites throughout the U.S. via plane, vehicle, or train.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university in a relevant field; minimum of five years of related experience.

• Alternatively, eight years of related experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience may be considered.

• NRPP Radon Measurement Professional certification is required.

• AHERA Inspector certification is required.

• A valid driver's license is required, with no significant motor vehicle accident points or violations (clean driving record).

• Knowledge of national and local regulations is essential.

• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and project management software is necessary.

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures is required.

• Capability to present information and answer questions from clients, colleagues, and technical field staff.

• Skills to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and reach valid conclusions.

• Ability to interpret diverse instructions and manage both abstract and concrete variables.

• Proficiency in motivating, developing, and directing individuals.

• Strong time management, active listening, critical thinking, problem-solving, and oral and written communication skills are necessary.

• Capability to work independently as well as in a team setting.

• Must be able to fulfill the physical demands of the role.

• Ability to effectively work from a remote location.
