Project Specialist - Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Work in partnership with the Dean of Curriculum and Instruction to create and develop lesson plans that align with standards.

• Develop instructional slide decks that are engaging for students and support clear learning objectives.

• Integrate warm-ups, guided practice, and checks for understanding into lesson materials.

• Modify and differentiate resources to accommodate the diverse needs of students in a virtual environment.

• Ensure instructional materials comply with state standards and meet organizational expectations.

• Foster alignment across grade levels and content areas, both vertically and horizontally.

• Maintain uniformity in instructional routines, structures, and course expectations.

• Collaborate with leadership to refine scope and sequence documents and pacing guides.

• Create resources that exemplify best practices in virtual instruction, focusing on student engagement and interaction.

• Utilize gradual release of responsibility and active learning strategies in lesson delivery.

• Ensure that resources are accessible, well-organized, and easy for teachers to utilize.

• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and tools that enhance virtual teaching and learning.

• Engage in content development sessions and participate in feedback cycles.

• Modify materials based on feedback from teachers and data on student performance.

• Contribute to enhancing instructional quality and student outcomes throughout the virtual school.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a valid Texas teaching certification.

• A minimum of 3–5 years of demonstrated successful teaching experience.

• Prior experience in a virtual or online educational setting is preferred.

• Familiarity with Project-Based Learning (PBL) models is preferred.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to analyze data and take appropriate action.

• High level of accountability and commitment to follow-through.

• A collaborative approach to teamwork.

• Proficiency in Google Suite products.

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
