Project Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the Dean of Curriculum and Instruction to develop high-quality, standards-aligned lesson plans.

• Create captivating, student-friendly instructional slide decks that support clear learning objectives.

• Incorporate warm-ups, guided practice, and comprehension checks into lesson materials.

• Adapt and differentiate instructional materials for a variety of student needs in a virtual environment.

• Ensure alignment of instructional materials with state standards and organizational goals.

• Encourage vertical and horizontal alignment across different grade levels and content areas.

• Maintain consistency in instructional routines, structure, and expectations throughout courses.

• Collaborate with leadership to refine scope and sequence documents and pacing guides.

• Design materials for virtual instruction that enhance student engagement and interaction.

• Implement gradual release of responsibility and active-learning strategies in lessons.

• Ensure that instructional resources are accessible, well-organized, and easy for teachers to utilize.

• Stay updated on the latest trends and tools in virtual teaching and learning.

• Engage in content development sessions and feedback cycles.

• Revise and enhance materials based on input from teachers and data on student performance.

• Support instructional quality and student outcomes across the virtual school.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Texas teaching certification.

• A minimum of 3–5 years of successful teaching experience.

• Ability to comprehend at least two core content areas.

• Experience in instructional coaching.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to analyze and act on data effectively.

• High level of accountability and follow-through.

• A collaborative mindset.

• Proficiency in Google Suite products.

• Preferred: Master’s degree in Education or a related field.

• Preferred: Prior experience in a virtual or online education setting.

• Preferred: Experience with Project-Based Learning (PBL) models.
