This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Assist Project Managers and project personnel in compiling financial data for monthly client reports.
• Deliver updates on financial status, including burn rate, remaining backlog, and project profitability.
• Oversee invoicing processes and perform quality assessments for complex government contracts.
• Create, maintain, and refresh project budget reports and financial management tools.
• Liaise with Project Managers and Directors concerning project financial status, risks, and updates.
• Supervise and ensure quality control of data entry procedures in online government record systems.
• Organize monthly invoicing, inclusive of detailed line-item cost justifications.
• Offer forecasting assistance and support actual-to-budget comparisons.
• Act as a contact point for government clients regarding project financial and administrative issues.
• Cooperate with the Project Finance Controller, Billing team, Project Managers, and Group and Project Control Managers to address financial concerns.
• Create and sustain process documentation, procedures, and guidance materials.
• Aid in subcontractor procurement and administration, including communication with subcontractors and monitoring applications and budgets.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Business, Management, Communications, Public Policy, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant professional experience in forecasting, data management, reporting, analysis, compliance, finance, or a similar field.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, such as pivot tables, lookup functions (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), logical formulas, data validation, and conditional formatting.
• Proven ability to analyze, manipulate, and interpret data to inform business decisions.
• Familiarity with basic finance processes and general accounting principles.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated capability to work independently while effectively collaborating with project teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, including the capacity to identify issues, assess options, and propose solutions.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
